TOOLSGROK BOT: ANAGENT WITH ACLOUD PC

Grok Bot is a set of always-on AI agents from the makers of Grok, and each one comes with its own cloud computer. They don't live inside a chat window: they have a browser, files and a command line, they sign in to services the way a person does, and they keep working after you close your laptop. The beta launched on August 11, 2026.

Below, based on the official documentation: what Grok Bot is, how to get access, what it can do, how to set up scheduled work, what its limits are and where it helps a business.

Grok Bot in plain words

A regular AI chat answers while you sit in it. Grok Bot is closer to a remote employee with a work computer of their own. You give it a role and tasks, and it opens websites, works with files, writes emails and runs scheduled jobs around the clock.

The main difference from other agents is the persistent cloud computer. You don't need your own server or a laptop left switched on: the work happens in the cloud.

How Grok Bot works

  1. 01Rolewhat the bot is for
  2. 02Skillhow to do a task
  3. 03Routinewhen to run it
  4. 04Cloud computerbrowser, files, terminal
  5. 05Approvalrisky steps go through you
  • Bots. You can create several bots for different roles. They message each other and work together in shared chats.
  • Cloud computer. A browser, files in a shared workspace folder and a command line. All bots on one account run on the same computer and share its files and sign-ins.
  • Skills. A reusable instruction for how to do a task. You can record a skill by demonstration: the bot watches you do it in the browser (up to 10 minutes) and turns that into a draft skill.
  • Routines. Tell the bot when to do the work: on a schedule or when an event happens.
  • Approvals. The bot performs risky actions only after your "yes".

How to get access to Grok Bot

Grok Bot is included in subscriptions rather than sold on its own. According to the official Cursor and xAI help pages:

Where Which plans include Grok Bot
The X Subscription Premium, Super and Ultra, for individuals and team seats. Not included in Plus or Free
Cursor (legacy plans) all paid individual plans: Pro, Pro+, Ultra, plus Cursor Teams
Grok subscriptions SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus, SuperGrok Heavy and X Premium+ can be linked to a Cursor account. SuperGrok Lite does not include Grok Bot
Enterprise Cursor Enterprise and Grok Enterprise through your account team

Plans from different companies map to each other: Pro, SuperGrok and X Premium+ are one tier, Pro+ and SuperGrok Plus are the next, and Ultra and SuperGrok Heavy are the top tier. A higher tier gives a bigger weekly usage pool. If you have two subscriptions, the one with more usage applies.

Plan prices change and depend on your country, so check them on the Cursor and xAI websites. Some accounts get a free trial: a usage credit with a 7-day window.

There are apps for macOS, Windows, Linux, iPhone, iPad and Android. You can also talk to the bot in X Chat, by tagging it on X, and in Slack.

What Grok Bot can do

  • Work in a browser. Open websites, fill in forms, collect information, sign in to your services.
  • Work with files and the command line. Save results and run scripts.
  • Connect to services. The catalog includes Gmail, Notion, Slack, Google Calendar, Sheets and Drive, and Linear, among others. You can add your own MCP server by URL.
  • Have its own email. A bot can get an address at mail.grokbot.com: receive and answer email, sign up for services and start tasks from incoming messages.
  • Read X. Search and read public posts on X without connecting an account.
  • Run on schedules and events. Every day at 8:00, every 2 hours, on a Slack message, an email, a webhook, or a GitHub or Linear event.

Routines: what you need to know

Setting Per the documentation
Shortest schedule interval 5 minutes
Routines per bot up to 50
Run history the last 20 runs per routine
Overall run limit up to 300 per hour across routines, up to 200 per hour for one
First run waits for the scheduled time, use the test button to check right away

The documentation warns that an hourly schedule or a busy Slack channel can use up a week of usage in a day. Pick a frequency that matches the real need.

Can Grok Bot run Telegram, VK and publish articles

Yes. You don't need an official integration for this: the bot has its own browser and works with websites the way a person does.

  1. 01Sign in onceyou log in inside the bot's browser
  2. 02Skillshow it how to publish a post
  3. 03Routinefor example, every day at 10:00
  4. 04Publishingthe bot signs in and posts on its own
  5. 05Reporta link to the post or a draft to review
  • Sign in once. You log in to Telegram Web, VK, your site's admin panel or Dzen inside the bot's browser, and the session stays on the cloud computer.
  • A skill by demonstration. Show it once how to open the editor, paste the text and image and press "Publish". The bot repeats it on its own.
  • Scheduled work. A routine prepares and publishes posts at the right time, and the bot either writes the texts itself or takes them from a spreadsheet, Notion or email.

Things to keep in mind:

  • if a site asks for a CAPTCHA or a sign-in confirmation, the bot hands that step to you;
  • some websites block cloud computers, and you will see that in the very first test;
  • the documentation recommends keeping publishing behind a manual "yes" at first, and letting the bot post on its own once it reliably gets everything right.

A second option for many platforms at once is to install a social media scheduling service with an API on your own server (for example, the open-source Postiz) and connect it to the bot through an MCP server. The bot prepares the post, and the service sends it to every connected network in one request. That is faster and more reliable than clicking through a dozen sites in a browser.

How to build the whole content pipeline is covered in the article on the AI content factory.

Where Grok Bot helps a business

The official xAI examples: sales outreach, talent scouting, ad account monitoring, expenses from invoices in email, product reports, bug reproduction, account health, and a "chief of staff" across email, calendar and Slack. For a small business that translates into:

  • a morning summary of email, calendar and tasks;
  • collecting and sorting invoices and messages;
  • monitoring competitors' websites and industry news;
  • drafting emails, posts and reports;
  • working in web services that have no API.

Security and limits

  • Bots are not isolated from each other. All bots on an account share one computer, its files and sign-ins. The documentation says outright not to treat separate bots as a security boundary.
  • Passwords. The bot signs in through a vault, a password manager (for example, 1Password) or a secure form, and never sees the password itself.
  • A person is needed for SSO and passkey sign-ins, CAPTCHAs and bank card checks.
  • You can't pick the model. Grok Bot chooses the model for each task itself.
  • Tied to an account. Access goes through a Cursor account, and you can't delete Grok Bot separately from that account.
  • A spend limit doesn't stop work midway. A task that has already started may finish after the limit is reached.

Grok Bot, your own agent or n8n

Grok Bot n8n workflows Your own agent system
Where it runs xAI cloud computer your server your server
Websites without an API yes, through the browser limited yes, if you build it in
Social media posting via browser or a scheduling service via platform APIs via platform APIs
Control and decision log approvals and run history run history full, under your rules
Model choice no yes yes
Setup time fast fast longer
Best for personal and office tasks integrations and delivery daily work at volume

Grok Bot is a strong personal or office assistant, especially where you need to work with websites that have no API. For systems that publish at volume every day and must answer for every decision, your own agent system is still the more reliable choice.
